Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. She spent most of her youth listening to classic music and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic tunes along with older classical songs. Ana enjoys tangos and opera and dramatic performances. She began singing and learning music with her mother, and commenced more serious singing training when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical training in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, as well when she was a professional young within Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. When she moved into the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present residence in southern California. She's a frequent solo performer for private events and parties and performs the traditional Latin American Music. As a musician and teacher she has volunteered for many projects in the community because of her love and love for music. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, through her sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation, for keeping this music alive.
